Meredith Hunter is a gifted young technologist who we better know as Syntax at Technology Goddesses™ Camp; she shares the same concerns about female representation in STEM that precipitated the creation of Technology Goddesses™ and has already experienced the isolation of being the only female in an advanced computer science course. She has explored the range of root causes that have perpetuated the under representation of women in STEM.
One key root cause is the small number of female role models and the lack of knowledge of those who do exist.
